Delivery Manager - New York, N.Y. and various unanticipated locations across the U.S,

 

Duties: Plan and manage large and complex information technology consulting and software development projects, including managing technical delivery, IT infrastructure delivery and data injection/engineering; interview stake holders and conduct requirement analysis; lead enterprise database infrastructure building, installation and configuring of MapR Hadoop clusters; manage technical delivery for databases, data transformation and the IT infrastructure group; drive strategy for creating processes and procedures with inputs from business, development, database, IT infrastructure and IT support teams; implement continual process improvement program to minimize impacts to business; technical project planning for new database and IT infrastructure projects, including performing resource estimations and managing project budgeting and accounting as well as planning for software and associated infrastructure procurement costs; participate in building, maintaining and testing disaster recovery plan(s) for database servers; maintain and manage database certificates, encryption keys, passwords and ensure compliance with enterprise standards and implementation of the security framework for protecting data; implement technology alternatives to streamline functions and improve productivity; revise and achieve service level agreements and operational agreements; and implement strategies to align tasks/people/requirements for successfully meeting both business and technology goals.

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience: Master of Science degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Computer Applications, or Information Technology plus 2 years of experience as IT Project Manager, Technical Architect, Database Architect/Administrator, Infrastructure Manager, Software Engineer, Systems Engineer or related position.  Alternatively, Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Computer Applications, or Information Technology plus 5 years of experience as IT Project Manager, Technical Architect, Database Architect/Administrator, Infrastructure Manager, Software Engineer, Systems Engineer or related position. Foreign educational equivalent accepted.
