Project Planning & Setup:
ā¢ Understand and contribute to resource plan.
ā¢ Identify appropriate processes based on project landscape.
ā¢ Identify gaps and advise on improvements if required.
ā¢ Share inputs in creation of project plan.
ā¢ Contribute to hardware/software requirement plan.
ā¢ Understand the test strategy, evaluate the design and identify gaps in the test plans, if any.
Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
ā¢ Analyze functional/non functional requirements and seek clarifications for better understanding of requirements.ā¢ Define timeline estimates based on the requirements, complexity and inhouse capability.
ā¢ Communicate estimates to supervisor for review.
ā¢ Provide inputs on technical feasibility of requirements.
ā¢ Identify gaps in requirements.
ā¢ Share additional requirements identified with supervisor.
Design:
ā¢ Guide team in preparation of technical specification document and review the same.ā¢ Break down the base lines requirements into business and functional requirements.
ā¢ Prepare high level and low level design and share with supervisor for approval.
ā¢ Identify tools and technologies to be used in the project as well as reusable objects that could be customized for the project.
ā¢ Share the design document with the functional team post supervisor review.
Coding:
ā¢ Guide team in coding as per design.ā¢ Follow coding standards and best practices to check code quality.
ā¢ Share developed code with supervisor for review.
ā¢ Rework on the code based on inputs if required.
ā¢ Perform complex integration.
ā¢ Guide the developers in identifying, preparing and conducting unit test cases and fixing defects based on results.
ā¢ Consolidate the test results and share with supervisor.
ā¢ Provide periodic status update to supervisor and highlight / recommend any changes in design based on challenges faced.
ā¢ Anticipate unreported defects and raise the same to supervisor.
ā¢ Conduct technical troubleshooting.
ā¢ Conduct reviews for codes created by team.
Testing:
ā¢ Coordinate with QA team during the testing phase.ā¢ Address queries raised by QA within defined timelines.
ā¢ Conduct functional / non functional testing if required.
ā¢ Investigate critical defects and establish need for fixing.
ā¢ Fix complex defects identified during functional / non functional testing.
ā¢ Understand the defect impact / criticality and handle accordingly.
ā¢ Raise issues to leads/QA.
ā¢ Report defect status as per project standard process within agreed timelines.
ā¢ Review defect fixes done by team guide them.
ā¢ Fix defects identified during UAT within agreed timelines.
ā¢ Share revised code with supervisor for review.
ā¢ Assist team lead and project manager on estimates around defect fixes.
Deployment & Closure:
ā¢ Conduct allocated transition tasks as per agreed timelines.ā¢ Address queries / provide assistance in fixing issues during warranty period.
ā¢ Provide prompt response during production support.
ā¢ Fix defects as and when required.
ā¢ Review defect fixes.
ā¢ Maintain deployment tracker.
ā¢ Perform sanity check post deployment to ensure smooth production.
ā¢ Share activity status with supervisor and highlight concerns if any.
Service Support & Maintenance:
ā¢ Participate in scoping meetings and identify transition requirements for new projects.ā¢ Reconfirm requirements with relevant stakeholders.
ā¢ Freeze SME calendar.
ā¢ Provide transition activities.
ā¢ Regularly track progress of transitions through weekly dashboards.
ā¢ Attend user calls, and capture required information and incident details for logging.
ā¢ Post information gathering, identify whether the incoming request is a service request or an incident.
ā¢ Determine urgency and impact of the situation.
ā¢ Assign appropriate priority to the incident.
ā¢ Assign the incident to the right stakeholder for a workaround/fix.
ā¢ Conduct analysis on various incidents that occur frequently Categorize recurring incidents as problems/known errors.
ā¢ Provide support to resolve these errors.
ā¢ Initiate change management process.
Knowledge Management:
ā¢ Create specific artifacts for tasks allocated by supervisor.ā¢ Share artifact with supervisor for review.
ā¢ Upload article in the knowledge management repository.
ā¢ Seek inputs from knowledge repository to resolve problems.
ā¢ Apply best practices/ learning during development activities.
People Management:
ā¢ Provide support in creation of training courses and supporting artifacts on the training server such as demo, presentation.ā¢ Conduct training with the help of academy and mentoring with respect to domain.
ā¢ Mentor new joiners in EAS function on an ongoing basis.
ā¢ Provide support to various project managers in identification of training needs of their subordinates.
ā¢ Provide inputs during goal setting and performance appraisal.
